· PoA Consensus Mechanism: VeChainThor utilizes the Proof-of-Authority consensus mechanism to verify and add transactions to the Blockchain. An intending Authority master node must stake 25 million VET tokens while submitting personal information to the VeChain foundation.

(PoA doesn't work with anonymity, as the validating nodes have to stake their reputations via verifiable real-life information. Hence, it faces the challenge of depending on centralized authorities for validation).

VeChain is working on protocol improvement to upgrade its PoA mechanism to PoA 2.0 to allow more randomized mechanisms of selecting validators.

· VeChain ToolChain: The VeChain ToolChain is a platform created and backed by the VeChainThor Blockchain. It has unique protocols that enable the building of dApps without being highly proficient in blockchain development (no-code/low-code blockchain development), using power APIs and SDKs that enable the building of scalable dApps that allow integration of Blockchain into large and small-scale businesses.
