About Harmony:

· Effective Proof-of-Stake (EPoS): The EPoS consensus mechanism elects validators based on their stake. These validators are evenly distributed across 4 shards of 1,000 nodes using a random, unbiased algorithm; as a result, the validation process is decentralized, scalable, and secure. Also, all four shards can communicate with one another with a receipt-based mechanism that helps to ensure that double-spending doesn't occur.

· Fast Byzantine Fault Tolerance (F-BFT): Harmony chain's FBFT consensus algorithm helps to ensure speedy transactions; as a result, each block can be validated within 2 seconds, thanks to the aggregated BLS (Boneh–Lynn–Shacham) signature. BLS signatures instantaneously determine the authenticity of a wallet signature to quickly verify transactions.

· 100% Scalable Architecture: Harmony Network's sharding mechanism is applied at all structural levels – communication, validation, and the blockchain. Hence, the Harmony blockchain ensures scalability in network functions, data storage, and transaction processing.
